US Congressman Jim McGovern and Michael T. McCaul, sponsor and cosponsor respectively of Promoting a Resolution to the Tibet-China Conflict Act bill in the US Congress, have argued in an opinion piece in The Diplomat that U.S. policy on Tibet has lost its way. The two senior US lawmakers explain how their bill would support the Tibetan people’s right to self-determination, enable the US State Department to counter PRC disinformation on Tibet and strengthen bipartisan support for dialogue between PRC officials and the Dalai Lama.
