September 5, 2022: Chinese authorities are significantly increasing policing, including arbitrary collection of DNA from residents in many towns and villages throughout the Tibet Autonomous Region (TAR). Blood samples of Tibetans including children as young as five years old are being systematically collected without consent according to a new report by Human Rights Watch. Such efforts signify a deepening level of repression and a gross violation of the rights and dignity of the Tibetan people
