AFI President Receives an Audience with His Holiness the Dalai Lama

Kelsang Aukatsang, President of the Asia Freedom Institute (AFI), received an audience with His Holiness the Dalai Lama on August 15, 2023 in Ladakh, India. During the audience, Mr. Aukatsang briefed His Holiness on the goals and objectives of AFI and also presented an overview of the work of AFI in writing. The Dalai Lama said he appreciated and supported the effort and that he remained hopeful of change and more freedom in China. Mr. Aukatsang served as the Dala Lama’s and the Central Tibetan Administration’s representative in Washington, DC from 2013 to 2016.
