Uyghurs worldwide commemorated the victims of a brutal crackdown by the Chinese security forces on July 28, 2014. Eight years ago, Chinese security forces violently suppressed a largely peaceful protest in Yarkand, East Turkistan, killing and injuring many innocent Uyghurs.
